The Integrated Research Training Group of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre Transregio TRR 306 QuCoLiMa is seeking to fill up multiple positions for

Doctoral Researchers (f/m/x)

The Collaborative Research Centre Transregio TRR 306 QuCoLiMa (Quantum Cooperativity of Light and Matter) is a joint venture of the Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz and the Universität des Saarlandes. Having started in January 2021, the researchers participating in the TRR 306 will be investigating the quantum collective behaviour of physical systems at the interface of quantum optics and condensed matter.

We offer

Gain experience in the new research field of many-body physics of quantum cooperative light-matter at the intersection of quantum optics and condensed-matter physics. You will be embedded in a world-class research environment at the participating institutions, and you will benefit from a large network of high-ranking scientists.

Take the chance to develop under a structured graduate programme within a motivated group of doctoral researchers and experienced Project leaders and expand your network at the annual summer schools or during exchange programmes. During your research you will be supported by an interdisciplinary team providing intensive supervision.

Your Profile

• You will have a successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent).

• You are interested in the field of quantum collective behaviour of physical systems at the interface of quantum optics and condensed matter (experiment or theory).

Application

Your application should include a brief motivation letter (max. 1-2 pages) with your next possible start date, your CV, copies of degree certificates and grades, two references or two letters of recommendation, and a copy of your master thesis (otherwise a summary of your master project).

Note that we offer multiple positions at different locations (Erlangen, Mainz, Saarbrücken). Please apply via our online application form, where you can select your favorite project and location: www.qucolima.de/rtg-application
